About the Congress
12th Congress of the European Academy of Neurology - Geneva
27 - 30 June 2026
The European Academy of Neurology (EAN) Annual Congress gathers thousands of neurologists, scientists, educators, and healthcare professionals from around the world to discuss the latest developments in neurology. As one of the largest international events dedicated to brain and neurological health, the congress fosters scientific exchange, professional growth, and cross-sector collaboration.
Congress Programme
Not only can you enhance your neurological knowledge at the 4-day congress in various scientific and educational sessions such as Symposia, Focused Workshops and Career Development Sessions, but you will also have an opportunity to present your groundbreaking research to the dedicated community. Each year, more than 2,000 abstracts are presented in Poster Sessions and published as an online supplement to the European Journal of Neurology.
Submitting abstracts for the EAN Congress also offers researchers the chance to be selected for international press campaigns, providing an exceptional opportunity for global visibility. For example, six studies selected for the EAN Congress 2025 press campaign were covered by 2,301 editorial articles published across major international media outlets including Daily Mail, CNN, ABC News, Fox News, The Times, and New Scientist, generating a total of 6.7 billion potential opportunities to be seen.
Additionally, you can expect cutting-edge presentations from pharmaceutical and medtech companies. Major companies in the pharmaceutical industry exhibit and present their latest findings, data, and scientific advances at the EAN Congress.
Congress Grants
EAN offers up to 240 bursaries consisting of free registration to the congress and up to four nights of hotel accommodation. Bursaries in the field of Movement Disorders are co-sponsored by MDS-ES.
For EAN, it is essential that individuals in neurology training and early-career neurologists who have prepared their own work — and had it accepted for presentation - can participate in the EAN Congress and present their research. Frequently, financial constraints prevent this. For this reason, EAN rewards applicants with the best abstracts with bursaries valued at up to four nights’ accommodation and free registration to the Congress, corresponding to a value of €1,150.
