Corresponding Societies

Eligibility

Corresponding Institutional Members can be national neurological societies of non-European countries or European non-profit scientific societies dealing with subspecialties of neurology or European non-profit neurological patient organisations.

Currently Corresponding Institutional Members of EAN are the national neurological societies of:

  • Algeria
  • Egypt
  • Ethiopia
  • Jordan
  • Lebanon
  • Libya
  • Mauritania
  • Morocco
  • Nepal
  • Palestine
  • Tunisia
  • Syria

 

Benefits

Corresponding institutional members do not pay membership fee. 

One delegate per society is invited as an observer to the annual Assembly of Delegates of EAN.
Members of Corresponding societies may attend the annual EAN congress at the reduced fee.

They may also benefit from and participate in certain other EAN activities, such as the EAN Clinical Fellowship and EAN Schools. Detailed information can be found here: LEARN.

 

Application

National neurological society may apply for the Corresponding Institutional Membership by submitting the following documents:

  1. An official letter of the society signed by the President stating that they are applying for Corresponding Institutional Membership,
  2. Confirmation of the society’s official registration,
  3. Copy of society’s bylaws/statutes.

All documents shall be submitted in English or with translation to English.

Documents shall be submitted to the EAN Secretary General via membership(at)ean.org.
