Information on conformity in accordance with the Accessibility Act

The European Acadamy of Neurology is committed to making its websites  accessible in accordance with the Accessibility Act as amended to implement the European Accessibility Directive (Directive 2019/882) on the accessibility requirements for products and services.

The Accessible Web Content Directive - WCAG 2.2 has been complied with as far as possible.

The implementation and continuous improvement of our website, including accessibility, is an integral part of our work and a key focus, particularly in view of the upcoming revision of ean.org, eanNews, eanCampus, Virtual Congress Platform

 

Current Accessibility Limitations

(Please note that this list is not exhaustive and will be updated as we review the existing content and guidelines.)

The content listed below may have limited accessibility for some users for the following reasons:

  • Incompatibility with accessibility regulations: PDF documents are available for download on the website that are not yet accessible. If you need help with non-accessible PDF documents, please contact ..... In this case, we will endeavour to make the content available to you in a suitable manner as far as possible.
  • Disproportionate burden: For economic and organisational reasons, it is currently not yet possible to make older PDF documents and Office documents (etc.) fully accessible.

The listed Accessibility Limitations are being corrected on an ongoing basis:

  • This content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legal provisions: Older documents and content that are not accessible are available on the website. As these were published before 28 June 2025, they are exempt from the Accessibility Act and no comprehensive change is currently planned for them.
  • The website contains documents and content from third-party providers that are neither developed, financed nor controlled by us. No statement can be made regarding the compatibility of this third-party content with the accessibility provisions and it is therefore also exempt from the requirements of the Accessibility Act.
