EAN’s Master Classes are held annually in Spring and Autumn by European experts in neurology for registered and selected (first-come, first-served) RRFS members.

EAN Webinar: Headache Trials Demystified: Reading, Interpreting & Applying Headache Evidence

Learning Objectives

  • To recognize common clinical trial designs (superiority, non-inferiority, equivalence, crossover, adaptive) and core reporting standards (e.g., CONSORT). 
  • To appraise internal validity: randomization, allocation concealment, blinding, sample size/power, multiplicity, handling missing data (ITT vs. per-protocol).  
  • To interpret efficacy and safety results: absolute vs. relative effects, confidence intervals, p-values vs. estimation/Bayesian views, NNT/NNH, subgroup and responder analyses.  
  • To detect bias and spin, assess external validity and generalizability, and translate evidence to patient-centered decisions.
