The official journal of EAN

The European Journal of Neurology covers all areas of clinical and basic research in neurology, including pre-clinical research of immediate translational value for new potential treatments. Emphasis is placed on major diseases of large clinical and social-economic importance:

Dementia Stroke Epilepsy Headache Multiple Sclerosis Movement Disorders Infectious Diseases

Publishing original articles, reviews, editorials, CME articles and short communications, the journal provides a forum for activity in clinical neuroscience and medical practice and helps strengthen the links between research workers and clinicians in Europe and other parts of the world.

Impact Factor: 3.9

The European Journal of Neurology operates under a Continuous Publication model. Articles are published online as soon as they are ready, and each monthly issue remains open until the end of the month.

When an issue closes, the next issue opens immediately with the first newly published article. For example, the April issue becomes visible as soon as its first article appears, even if April has not yet begun.

To receive the latest content as it publishes, readers can sign up for e‑mail alerts on any article or issue page. Alerts may include newly published In Progress (Continuous Publication) articles, Early View articles, and the table of contents when the monthly issue closes.

To sign up, simply visit any article or issue page and click “Sign up for email alerts.”
