Regional Teaching Course
Regional Teaching Courses (RTC)
EAN-RTCs aim at bringing teaching of excellence to residents in neurology and neighbouring specialties in European countries, that will not be able to host an EAN Congress, and to regions further way from central Europe allowing participants to attend the free-of-charge course of high level education at low (travel) costs.
The purpose is to provide basic teaching in neurology and thus also establish friendly relations with all colleagues
The EAN Headoffice is organising the RTCs together with the local organizer and members of the Teaching Course sub-committee. The proposed programme is reviewed by the EAN Scientific Panels responsible for the accepted topics.
The Regional Teaching Courses have the following profile
- The language is English
- Duration: 3 days with 3 separate topics of the day.
- 4 plenary session each morning that deal with each of the three main topics of the RTC, i.e. focus on one main topic per day. Within this morning plenary, the speakers will be assigned approximately 50 minutes each for their particular lectures.
- Small tuitional groups or workshops in the afternoon (case-based videoclips, Hands-on course, Workshops), if possible for a rotating audience
- Manuscripts of the lectures will be made available for all participants (print or digital) by the local organiser.
