We are excited to announce that Work Package 2 (WP2) of our project on insomnia and excessive daytime sleepiness is finally running in Austria! This next phase involves a Europe-wide study using a specially designed mobile application: EAN Sleep Health Check .The app will collect anonymous data only, ensuring your privacy at all times.

Study Overview:

Title: A Europe-wide Survey Study on Insomnia and Excessive Daytime Sleepiness

Background: Sleep-wake disorders are common and serious conditions that can profoundly impact the quality of life of both affected individuals and their families. Beyond the personal toll, these conditions also pose a significant burden on society and the economy. Despite their high prevalence, sleep disorders are often under-recognized, with fewer than 20% of adults receiving an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

Purpose:  This Europe wide survey study looks to assesses the frequency and features of insomnia and excessive daytime sleepiness and potential changes across time.

How is this planned?  Participants of the general population are invited to complete scientifically validated screening scales and questionnaires through the EAN Sleep Health Check app for a period of 12-months.
