NeuroART Competition at EAN Congress 2026

Call for Participation

Dear Members,

Are you ready to showcase your creativity? We are thrilled to invite you to participate in the NeuroART Competition 2026, an exciting opportunity to blend art and neurology! This SciArt initiative is designed to foster engagement, collaboration, and creativity within our community, while also enhancing the well-being of our members.  

Competition Categories:

  • Photography and Painting 
  • Music, Dance, and Video
  • Poetry and Short Essays

What’s at stake?
The winners in each category will receive a travel grant (€500) to attend EAN Congress 2026. There are 3 travel grants available. Only one grant is available per person. Please, note that the prize is not transferable or exchangeable for any other prize, the prize will not be paid off in cash, and the legal recourse is excluded.

Through this innovative blend of neurology and art, we aim to create a memorable and enriching experience. Let’s make this NeuroART Competition a masterpiece!

NeuroART contest guidelines

Submit your NeuroART piece according to one of the following categories:  

  1. Photography and Painting
    An original photograph or painting related to neurology (minimum 300 dpi).  
    A brief caption (max. 150 words) explaining the artwork and the neurological sub-speciality or disease it represents.  
     
  2. Music, Dance, and Video
    A video recording of your original music or dance performance (max. 1 minute, 1GB). 
    A brief caption (max. 150 words) describing the inspiration behind the piece and its connection to neurology.  
     
  3. Poetry and Short Essays
    An original poem or essay related to neurology (min. 500 words, max. 1 page).  
    A caption or brief explanation highlighting the neurological inspiration.  

Additional information

Your submissions will be reviewed by an expert evaluation committee, with scores assigned (0–5) based on:  

  • Scientific content
  • Connection between neurology and art
  • Artistic quality  

The highest scoring works in each category will receive the EAN NeuroART Award, and the winners will commit to accepting the competition’s regulations and granting copyright to EAN for institutional objectives and promotional use.  

Important: Works generated using AI tools like ChatGPT or similar programs will be automatically disqualified if detected.
