The LIBRA project aims to boost the presence and involvement of women in leadership roles within the life sciences field. To achieve this, it focuses on understanding and addressing gender inequalities at partner institutions. The project tailors action plans to each organization’s needs, works to remove barriers in recruitment—particularly for senior research roles—, and supports professional growth through targeted training. It also strives to enhance work-life balance, increase awareness of how gender influences research, and develop new training tools. Ongoing progress is tracked carefully, and the outcomes are shared widely to influence broader change across the research community and beyond.
