EAN Congress Masterclass on Rare Neurological Diseases

Overarching Theme: Rare Neurological Disease

The EAN Congress Masterclasses is an event type designed to foster an intimate and cohesive environment, bringing together smaller, more tightly knit groups of participants (up to 100 pax).

This year, we will host two Masterclasses in a row, on 8 May and 9 May (details on the other Masterclass are available below). This offers an even broader learning experience and the opportunity to explore two highly relevant neurological areas. Participants may choose to attend one Masterclass or both.

For preparation purposes, participants registered to the event have to watch the corresponding congress lectures on the EAN eLearning platform.

The on-site part in Vienna will begin with a welcome session, followed by four parallel masterclass sessions with rotating audiences. At the end of the event, all speakers will summarize their courses in a closing session.

9 May - Parkinson’s Disease Masterclass

General Information

The knowledge and training you learn and the new connections you make for your future career path do not come with a price tag. The value of tuition and catering for each Masterclass participant is €400.

To make it even more accessible, we would like to offer a limited amount of a travel and/or accommodation grant. These grants will be allocated primarily on a first-come, first-served basis, with preference given to applicants from low-income countries.

Travel grant: up to 300€ and/or accommodation grant*: the accommodation grant includes up to two nights in the hotel where the event takes place, depending on which Masterclass you attend:

• If you join the Rare Neurological Diseases Masterclass (8 May 2026):
  Accommodation from Thursday, 7 May to Friday, 8 May 2026
• If you join the Parkinson's Diseases Masterclass (9 May 2026):
  Accommodation from Friday, 8 May to Saturday, 9 May 2026
• If you join both Masterclasses (8–9 May 2026):
  Accommodation from Thursday, 7 May to Saturday, 9 May 2026

Travel costs will be reimbursed upon submission of an invoice and a completed reimbursement form, which will be provided at the Masterclass. The travel grants will be paid via transfer within 30 days after the event. 

You will be informed whether you will receive the travel and/or accommodation grant within one month after registration.

* The grant is not transferable or exchangeable for any other prize and will not be paid off in cash. The decision and results concerning grant winners are final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into after selection is made in accordance with the terms.
