EAN virtual congress

To register, please go to MyEAN and click "MyEAN Congress 2020" to register.

Congress registration is open until the last congress day, 26 May 2020.
 

No, group registration is not possible.

Yes, the virtual congress will be streamed between May 23 – 26, 2020.

No, EAN will offer the entire virtual congress free of charge. 

The content will be available from 27 May 2020 onwards for all EAN individual members only.

All sessions and lectures will be available on-demand in the EAN Virtual Congress area free-of-charge from 23-26 May 2020. The content will be available from 27 May 2020 onward for all EAN individual members only.

To attend the online congress, you need a good internet connection, your computer/laptop and a headset/headphones as well as a valid registration.

EAN is doing its best to organise them all. However, hands-on courses (where physical presence is necessary) will not be included. If you have already booked such a course, EAN will  refund your full registration payment incl. the course fee.

All sessions (except for the BrainChallenge) will be recorded in advance. Speakers or EAN staff will be available afterwards to answer questions, or forward questions to the speaker.

If speakers are present during the session, there will be a live Q&A afterwards. If speakers will not be present during session, EAN staff will collect all questions and forward them to the speakers.

There will be a virtual exhibition area. 

You can chat with our staff in a virtual booth.

EAN is working on organising an online business meeting for every EAN Scientific Panel. Further information and invitations will be provided by the Scientific Department to all Panel members as soon as possible.


Educational activities, abstracts & posters

Yes, you will be able to get CME points when attending sessions during the congress. As usual, please evaluate the sessions afterwards in order to obtain your CME certificate.
Please note that CME points are not available for the on-demand webcasts after the congress. 

If you are watching the congress in a team, please make sure that you are still logged in to the session with your personal device and evaluate the session in order to receive your certificate.

There will be the possibility of uploading and presenting your poster online. Details will be posted in due course. Your abstract will be published in the European Journal of Neurology, but you must be registered to the virtual congress. However, any paid registration will be refunded in full. Please note that this can take up to 1 month (as of 25 March).

The ePoster sessions will be recorded in advance and will be available together with a pdf of the poster. If the presenter is available, there will be a live Q&A session afterwards. If presenters will not be present during the session, there will be contact button to send questions to the presenters.

The ePresentation sessions will be recorded in advance, and will be available with a brief PowerPoint presentation, followed by a live Q&A session. If presenters will not be present during session, there will be contact button to send questions to the presenters.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer hands-on courses this year because of the extraordinary circumstances.

If you would like to withdraw your abstract, please let us know as soon as possible by sending an email to abstracts@ean.org. We can withdraw the abstract from the abstract book until 9 April 2020 at the latest. Withdrawal from the online database is possible at all times.


Industry

Press

Members of the press should contact press@ean.org to receive further information regarding the Virtual Congress.

As registration for the EAN Virtual Congress is free of charge, members of the press will have access. The registration system will open on April 5 and members of the press who have contacted press@ean.org will be notified.

Member of the press who have contacted and registered with us by sending their info to press@ean.org, will receive a press pack containing press releases related to the congress in due course.


Paris: travel, registration & reimbursements

Yes, you will receive your full payment back. Please note that this can take up to 1 month (as of 25 March).

Yes, every participant who has already registered and paid will receive a full reimbursement. Please note that this can take up to 1 month (as of 25 March).  

If you have booked your accommodation via the event organizer, please contact  hotel@ean.org. We are carefully evaluating the situation with each hotel to find an individual solutions for you. So please excuse possible delays in answering.

If you have booked your accommodation privately, please refer to your travel agency and/or online booking provider for possible reimbursements.

The bursaries will be transferred to the 2021 congress (free registration and 3 nights hotel). 
All bursary recipients 2020 will (as EAN RRFS members) have free access to the webcasts after the congress.
